Now that winter is here we are getting a lot of westerlies and south westerlies. I'm new back to Brisbane after 8 years overseas.

Can anyone tell me which areas/spots around SEQ are best to kite in winter wind directions? (i.e. Southerlies, South-westers and Westerlies)

thanks,

Dean.

I know you can ride Wello Point in a West to Nor West, or Scarborough in a westerly??

Best tip is to hibernate till the temp reaches 30+
True, but for example we've got some great southerlies and SSWesters forecast this weekend! Would runaway bay be an option?
They tell me Kirra is great but long way away, am going to try the sandy beach on the right (TSS Side) of the old Sundale bridge at Southport, (there's a park there too etc) the westly blows great across from the corporate tower, but you will need to be exp or you'll end up on the bridge.
